Medical Social Services
The Medical Social Worker evaluates whether the patient’s social, emotional, functional and physical needs are all being met. They enhance the coping skills of the family and other caregiver systems, as well as coordinates community and financial resources as needed.
Being well respected as a Home Health Care Provider in Illinois, Best Care’s medical social workers assess the psychosocial functioning of patients and families and intervenes as necessary. Interventions may include connecting patients and families to necessary resources and supports in the community, providing supportive counseling or grief counseling or helping a patient to expand and strengthen their network of social supports.
